FAQs

Investment (costs) for Photography can be tricky. For me, I like to work within people's budgets, providing that we can find a best fit. I provide a basic pricing structure on my website, however I am always willing to discuss budgets to see how I can best help to accommodate. Because some of my clients have projects that require more specific legal aspects (such as rights managed or royalty free etc) a customized cost and approach is often a much better way to acheive what they need

Generally speaking, I like to take the time to get to know a client. I start off by talking to, meeting with and getting to know what each person likes, wants and needs. From there, I am able to ascertain what the clients wishes are, make a plan as to what will be done and how it will be done. Once that is done, we review the photography contract, we make notes regarding examples that the new client may like or have as inspirational ideas, and then we get to work at making the magic happen!

20 years plus of Photography experience and professional shoots. Many courses on Photography, Portraiture, Newborn Photography (which I believe is an absolute MUST for newborn photography), Stock Photography and Family Portraiture Photography. Each of these areas have very specific differences, which should be learned. But, equally important is a person's eye for the artistic. Each on their own is a wealth of ability, however both combined is definitely a winning combination.

I was lucky enough to get a camera for my 10th birthday from my mother. My passions in photography, started probably before that time, but it was then that I was able to freely create. 30 years later, I still cannot put my cameras down!

In as many years as I have been shooting, I have probably worked with just about every genre of client!

Too many to count! But most recently, have been Stock, Photojournalism, Portraiture for a couple of Businesses Websites. These take varying amounts of times, depending on what each of them has needed. On average for the last two, about a month. (These are high volume shoots with many images to post process and edit).

Make sure you love what you see. Make sure that your photographer is flexible, and personable. Make sure to have a contract between you both.

What are your expectations? I think this is the most important question. Second to that, are the expectations realistic for the price or cost. Make sure that whoever you choose, that you can work with them, and they can work with you. There's nothing worse than discovering a talented person, who isn't wiling to help or work with you, all the way along the process.
