I am always continuing my education by reviewing massage theory, conducting in-depth research on specific conditions, and deepening my understanding of infant massage, reflexology, pelvic floor conditions, and approaches to massage that benefit those with mental illnesses such as anxiety, c-PTSD, and depression.

After school, I noticed that massage therapy was typically accessible to individuals who possessed the abilities to leave the house, drive, afford childcare, climb clinic steps, and be in a new, and often stimulating, environment. This phenomenon leads to many people not being provided opportunities to receive vital healthcare. Helping Hands Mobile Massage was born to fill the gaping deficit of truly accessible massage.

Mobile massage caters to moms and dads, infants, children and teens, athletes, the elderly, individuals with various disabilities, mobility aids, and mental illnesses, patients with terminal illness, grieving souls, and homebodies alike. Mobile massage is about meeting you wherever you are in your life. It’s about listening, understanding and respecting your wants and needs, and working with you to create a treatment plan that will aid you in fulfilling your goals, whether they be to recover from an injury, to increase your mobility, to work through emotional pain trapped inside the physical body, to practice self-care or body acceptance, or simply to find peace is a tumultuous time.

I wrote a case study on the positive effects of massage and hot hydrotherapy on adult toe-walking. It began as a school assignment but evolved into a personal project after graduation and was submitted into a research paper contest held by the Registered Massage Therapy Association of Ontario (RMTAO). The entire project took over a year of diligent work. I’m excited to participate in future case studies, hopefully partnering with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) to add to the collective knowledge of massage therapy and to advance my own mobile practice.
