A free-spirited husband and wife duo from Canada. We make folk/roots music, share stories, and create nature-inspired rocky mountain jewelry. Flint ﹠ Feather are a free-spirited husband and wife duo who are deeply passionate about connecting with people through folk/roots music, stories, and laughter. Based in Calgary, Alberta, band members Joal and Lauren Kamps blend storytelling with songwriting to create charming ‘Rocky Mountain Folk-Pop’ songs inspired by Canadian history, rocky mountain folklore, and their own personal journeys. Joal and Lauren first began exploring professional performance together after both being invited to attend Canada’s Music Incubator’s Artist Entrepreneur Program in Toronto, Ontario. Soon afterwards they performed cross-Canada as a duo in partnership with VIA Rail’s Artists On Board Program, followed by a 27-date European Tour. Things have not slowed down for Flint ﹠ Feather either. This past year alone they performed another 32-date European Tour along with their new daughter, Luna. The Kamps’ spent the remainder of the year touring western Canada together, performing at a host of different festivals, community events, summer concert series, and intimate house concerts. Joal and Lauren are currently focused on honing their songwriting craft for their 2018 debut release as Flint ﹠ Feather. Formerly associated with the Black Watch (RHR) of Canada, the 306 Wing’s concert band has been entertaining its public in municipal venues since the 1950s. The 306 (Maple Leaf) Wing (Montreal, QC) is fortunate to be one of the few members of the Royal Air Force Association of Canada to have its own concert band. Formerly associated with the Black Watch (RHR) of Canada, the 306 Wing’s concert band has been entertaining its public in venues ranging from parks to music festivals to the Veterans’ Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC since the 1950’s. The Black Watch (RHR) Association Concert Band, under director Richard Munroe, became the 306 (Maple Leaf) Wing Concert Band in 1996. Peter Wright took over as director in 1989, followed by Barbara Hunter in 1996. Currently under the direction of 438 Tactical Helicopter Squadron Master Corporal Brent Besner since 2009, the concert band toured Nova Scotia in the summer of 2015, performing concerts at Dartmouth, Greenwood and Cornwallis, and participating in the Annapolis Royal Band Festival. In July 2017 the band toured through New Brunswick and PEI with concert stops in Moncon, Summerside and Charlottetown.Zach Kleisinger

Zach landed in Victoria, B.C. to work with old friend Sam Weber, who produced his debut EP, “Between Cities”. The songs released on the EP captures an honest authenticity with a youthful curiosity. His brooding tales, gravelly vocals, and meandering guitar reflect the folk-fused blues of Bob Dylan, the earnest optimism of Jack Johnson, and the sonic style of Bruce Springsteen Since the release of the EP, Zach as re-located to Vancouver to continue building his reputation as a vocal powerhouse amongst the music community and industry alike. Kristian Lao from Indie VanCity describes “Zach effortlessly delivers the raw, honest musings of my favorite old-time troubadours. I adore watching the audience’s surprise when that gravel-dragged, smokey old voice comes out of such an unassuming, polite young man”. Originally hitting the spotlight as a dancer and then as in her Elvis Tributes and events; Joan has evolved into the effervescent champion of the performing arts and one of the most popular entertainers in the City. Bill Minnery and Brad Bridges have been rocking in bands and countless shows since 2003 when Bill was 13 and Brad was 16. They formed the ever-remembered ROUGH JUSTICE, toured together with UNIVERNIA and now are a formidable and oddly-rare duo of drummer and guitarist going by the simple yet catchy name BILL and BRAD. They’ve entertained all over Ontario, including the Opera House in Toronto, the Smiling Buddha in China Town and a host of festivals and events throughout the Lakes and Southern Ontario. They’ve also performed in a Jimi Hendrix tribute show and been part of the Brantford Rocks and Rock of Ages Festivals. They won the Brantford Battle of the Bands in 2010 (just to name one of the several they’ve won). Their highlight includes their own one hour rock show on Carnival Cruise Ship in 2011 when Bill was just 19 and Brad was 22. They’ve have a myriad of rocking credentials under their very young belts. Bill also received the sacred honour of playing in his own 45 minute showcase at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland when Van Halen was inducted. He was only 14 years old. Bill was hand-picked from the Internet and has an open invitation to return anytime. They now join Bill’s mom Joan for several songs as they Bridge the Minnery family. The Cabaret Quicksand
Sainte-Catherine, J5C 0A1The Cabaret Quicksand is a collection of songs recorded in analog to be released in the Spring of 2017 on vinyl and CD format. The Cabaret Quicksand was formed by Craig Rewbury in 2016 as a recording project of his songs. He wanted to do something different and instead of having one band record the material, he wanted to use musicians/friends/family that had a connection to him from the past and present, whether it was from playing/recording or simply admiring. It was evident from the beginning that Richard Allen Brown was going to play all of the drums/percussion since these two have spent the last 13 years providing the Rhythm section for the popular Niagara Cover band Jonesy. It just made sense to have this tight duo lay down the foundation for this record. Craig has called on some other heavy weights for this project including his band members in Jonesy, Brad Battle, Jesse Stull, Gary Borden, Marc Ganetakos, Phil Wellman, Mike Palermo and John Bowman to name a few. Each of these talented players brings a unique element and style to Craig’s songs which are generally about past experiences, relationships with people and world issues. The sounds range from Rock, Pop, Blues and even Country. The Cabaret Quicksand has quickly morphed into a force to be reckoned with since the release of its first single “Trepidation” in April 2017 with a video that can be seen on You Tube. As the warm weather approaches in Southern Ontario, The Cabaret Quicksand is finishing up its debut release “The Company You Keep” and plans to get it out to you during winter of 2018 via BS Live Rocks Records. The project is being recorded in analog with bed tracks captured “live off the floor” and will be able to be spun on your turn tables if you choose. “I wanted to make a record of my songs with good mates and amazing players while keeping things fun and light”. Craig has been able to accomplish this and much more including a variety of sounds that will guarantee to kick you in the teeth at times and draw you in through melodic hooks and riffs. Smithers is about the existential crisis that is our mid-20s, where life becomes this scary mix of trying to remember to pay your bills, getting your first salary paid job, and understanding how to integrate your true self into all of this. It’s about staying in touch with yourself, while secretly being incredibly overwhelmed by the realities of life and feeling insignificant and afraid of failure. Smithers started as an idea in lead singer/guitarist, Jess Segura’s head. For years she wrote sad songs that sounded happy alone in her bedroom, but writing without a means of execution became incredibly frustrating. She showed her ideas to some peeps and the sound absorbed her long-time friend Paul ﹠ awesome nerdy drummer friend Angelo to join her in turning her Shoegazi/new gaze/punk ideas into a reality. We eventually decided that we should probably get a bassist, and we somehow ended up with our buddy Sergio in the band. We keep our heads and chiphands up high as we watch the world burn with and around us.
