When I arrive at the clients location the client is often stressed at their current predicament. I often must re assure the client that all will be just fine in a few minutes. At this time I verify ownership or tenancy and only then do I proceed with remedying the current situation.

I grand-fathered into this trade as my father was a master locksmith for 52 yrs. I trained under his watchful eye for many years, often doing the leg work removing and re-installing lock-sets at apartments and such after my father would re-key or repair them. I have been a licensed locksmith for the past 9 years here in BC.

I re-keyed 4 lock-sets in a mobile home that a client had just purchased. The job took about 30 min.... There were no complications...

Always ask to see their Provincial Security Employee or Locksmith License.

How many keys are out in the world that fit my locks? Is re-keying worth it? Should I buy new lock-sets and have them installed by the locksmith? Are my door frames in good shape or do they need repair or replacement?
