The Big Orange Lunchbox was a restaurant located in Prince Edward Island that focused on using fresh, local ingredients to create their dishes. Despite their commitment to using local meats and making their own buns, the restaurant faced some challenges during its operation. In 2014, Big Orange Lunchbox received some positive coverage from an article that highlighted the restaurant's roasted chicken entree and gnocchi ravioli appetizer. However, later that same year, the restaurant was forced to close down for unknown reasons. According to the restaurant's Twitter page, they strived to use only the freshest ingredients during the summer months. Although the restaurant received some great feedback from patrons during its operation, it unfortunately could not withstand the challenges that come with running a restaurant. Despite the restaurant's closure, Chef James Oja, the owner of The Big Orange Lunchbox, should be commended for his commitment to using locally sourced ingredients and for his efforts to provide his community with fresh, high-quality food.
