Joliette, J6E 0A2Depuis 1969, œuvre des Sœurs de la Congrégation de Notre-Dame et située dans Lanaudière, cette école d’enseignement primaire privé compte environ 650 élèves. Œuvre des Sœurs de la Congrégation de Notre-Dame, l’École Les Mélèzes est reconnue par le ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec comme un établissement d’enseignement primaire privé et agréé aux fins de subvention. À ses débuts, en 1969, l’école accueille les garçons et les filles en leur offrant des services scolaires en externat et offre un pensionnat pour les filles. À l’époque, l’établissement reçoit 200 jeunes par année. La fondation de l’établissement scolaire s’inscrit dans la lignée des grands changements historiques du Québec au niveau de l’éducation et concorde avec la création des Collèges d’enseignement général et professionnel (CEGEP) et des polyvalentes. L’École Les Mélèzes ouvre ses portes aux enfants du préscolaire en septembre 1994. Elle obtient à ce moment un permis du ministère de l’Éducation pour l’éducation préscolaire 5 ans soit la maternelle. Suite aux états généraux de l’Éducation et à la création du ministère de la Famille, l’école obtient en mai 2002, un permis de ce dernier pour offrir des services éducatifs aux enfants de 4 ans. Encore aujourd’hui, des services éducatifs de qualité sont offerts aux jeunes de 4 ans et de 5 ans en vue de les préparer à la réussite scolaire au primaire. Depuis 1995, la clientèle est passée de 265 élèves à plus de 650 en septembre 2008. De nombreux projets ont vu le jour et ce, afin d’offrir un milieu de vie stimulant, adapté aux jeunes du troisième millénaire et répondant aux besoins des parents d’aujourd’hui. Le Conseil d’administration de la Corporation est composé de religieuses représentant les Sœurs de la Congrégation de Notre-Dame, d’administrateurs du milieu et de parents. Ce dernier travaille conjointement avec la direction afin d’améliorer constamment les services offerts dans le respect de la tradition, de la culture organisationnelle et des enjeux actuels en éducation.

École Jésus-Marie de Beauceville
Beauceville, G5X 0A1École francophone qui offre tout le cours du secondaire. La seule école privée mixte en Beauce. C’est en 1923 que les religieuses de Jésus-Marie fondent à Beauceville une École Normale pour la formation des maîtres. Cette œuvre d’éducation devait durer jusqu’en 1969. Les locaux de ce vaste édifice furent alors loués à la Commission scolaire et les élèves des régions environnantes vinrent y terminer leur cours secondaire. En 1972-1973, avec l’ouverture des écoles secondaires dans toute la province, les salles de classes de l’École Normale restèrent muettes, en attendant qu’on leur assigne une nouvelle orientation. Pendant cette année de réflexion, les religieuses de cette institution entreprennent des démarches en vue d’ouvrir un cours secondaire privé. C’est donc en septembre 1973 que la vie reprend à la nouvelle École Jésus-Marie. 28 étudiants de première secondaire, garçons et filles, commencent leurs études secondaires à Beauceville. Depuis septembre 1973, l’École Jésus-Marie poursuit son œuvre d’éducation auprès des jeunes de la région.
