Live Art by Najma

Bedford, B4A 0A1
Impressionist water color “live art“ paintings at weddings or other events; paintings from your special moments pictures; design invitation cards with art. I like painting happy occasions..and weddings are on top of my list. With soft or vibrant watercolors and free drawing of lines, I try to capture the atmosphere and the emotions/feelings of the event. I am in Halifax, N.S. but can travel to other cities to do live art if the client can pay for my airfare and accommodation. If you want me to do a special painting of some memorable moments from the past, that can be done too. I have also done a lot of mother and child, father and child, mother and father with children type of paintings. These are all impressionistic paintings.

Studio C Garage Art
13
Rutherglen, P0H 0B1
Come and browse in this eclectic and colourful Studio that surrounds you with works of art ,teas and fills your heart with a moments calmness. Caren’s style is extreme; soft and subtle when using water, and bold when using oils and acrylic. She frequently incorporates solids as embellishment and uses the pliable texture of oils to produce 3D effects. Her watercolor style moves from the “Big Brush” technique to a realistic and natural style. Caren found her inner self in the tiny seashore villages of deep South, and in the spiritual world of the Anishinaabe culture. One of her native paintings was used for the cover of a native drumming CD to assist in speech therapy for the hearing impaired children of Northeastern Ontario. Caren has been to Kenya on a Mission work and her paintings reflected the diversity of our two cultures and the perceived hopelessness of the Kenyan women and children. Caren has exhibited her art in many local Galleries in Northern and Southern Ontario. She has recently opened her new studio at her home by turning her garage into her workshop. She greatly believes in being true to oneself and she is grateful for each day and life lessons learned. Caren has four lovely grown children and four grandchildren. She lives in Rutherglen, Ontario with her life partner, Jerry, and her many cats. She values her friendships, she plays the guitar, violin and drums. You may contact her at studiocgarageart.ca or 705-776-9705.
Dave Beckett Art Studio/Gallery
14
Severn Bridge, P0E 1N0
The Studio/Gallery is located near Orillia, Ont. Dave’s works are in oil and pastel and are collected internationally. He conducts workshops in pastel. Located in the heritage village of Marchmont, central Ontario, the artist’s home/gallery and studio is ideally located for visitors, and art collectors. Much of Dave’s landscapes and still life subjects are derived from the area. Constructed of logs harvested from the surrounding area in the early 1840’s, this building is one of the few structures of it’s kind on it’s original site in Ontario. Once a thriving farm community, named after the Earl of Marchmont, the village boasted a working grist mill until it’s redevelopment in the past 10 years. A shingle mill was also located here on the quiet North River pond. “If there was ever a time we need to see the beauty that surrounds us it is now.” We have a large selection of prints both framed and unframed.
Salmon River Studios
15
Tamworth, K0K 0A2
Salmon River Studios is an art, craft and educational studio owned and operated by Gabriel Deerman and Ashley Doucette Pilles. You may know Ashley and I as friends, family, your kid’s art teachers or through our past projects which include Gaff Gallery in Vancouver and Galerie Rye in Montreal. Here’s a quick re-cap to get you caught up with us: After working our tails off trying to make it as independent gallery proprietors and artists, while working day jobs, etc. we decided to teach overseas. We have been teaching art in Qatar (whole story there) for the past four years, saving towards our next project- and this is it! Two years ago we bought a 52 acre farm in Tamworth, Ontario (about a 30min drive north of Kingston). It’s gorgeous— rolling hills right on the Salmon River, 100 year old timber barn, plus a house and smaller second barn. The place is ideal for what we have been wanting to do for some time now: set up studios and get to work making art and continuing the community driven cultural activities that we enjoyed so much at our previous venues. But this time it’s different– we are not in the city and we are not running an exhibition space (although there will be exhibitions surely). With Salmon River Studios we will focus all of our energy into arts production and providing cultural and educational opportunities to our local community with a long term goal of broadening that community nationally and internationally. Over the next several years it is our hope that with a lot of hard work (and your help!) Salmon River Studios will develop into a sustainable, long term enterprise which will transition into a non-profit and seek operational funding through the Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts and other arts and cultural funding sources. Ultimately we hope for Salmon River Studios to offer artist residency programs, host guest artist workshops and lectures, exhibitions, musical/performance/theatrical events and to become a magnet for arts, cultural and educational programming in the area.

I do mostly 2-D, 3-D compositions on stretched or wood canvas. I am after creating aesthetic from what man or nature has disposed of. Beauty to me is cohesion. I believe that we can find it through the non-conventional juxtaposition and co-habitation of materials used in my work. The embellishments transmit a femininity despite the rugged elements within the pieces. I like at times, to explore other venues of art expressions such for my mind tends to be tangential.

An Indigenous Arts Run organization creating projects, programming ﹠ exhibition opportunities for professional Indigenous Artists living in the BC Interior. The name Ullus is a direct word translated from the Syilx Language, which translates as “a gathering of people for a common purpose”. The metaphor is the evolvement of the Ullus Collective as an Indigenous collective to advance media arts. ULLUS was founded in 1989 by siblings Jeannette, Richard and the late August Armstrong as an opportunity to provide training and production funds to indigenous producers in the areas of media arts. In 1997 It was administered by former Ullus Collective Chair member Tracey Kim Bonneau in partnership with the En’owkin Centre and what is formally known as IASO (Indigenous Arts Services Organization). In 2012, Victoria Baptiste completed an Artistic Director Mentorship under the En’owkin Centre funded by the Aboriginal Arts Development Awards to create an operations plan, terms of reference and a strategic plan which included formally separating ULLUS from being a media art collective run on a project by project basis administered by the En’owkin Centre as its own organization to assist in the management, development, production and dissemination of the Indigenous Arts and Artists from the BC Interior. The ULLUS Collective membership that consists of Indigenous artists, writers, directors, producers, stage, theatre actors, playwrights, journalists, camera operators, field technicians, video editors, on-camera hosts and casting directors in addition to Visual Artists, painters, sculptors, carvers, installation artists, puppeteers, audio engineers, musicians, computer graphic designers, media producers, web designers, traditional artists and traditional performers to name a few. Ullus artists pool their talent base to develop new skills and opportunities for exhibition and presentation. The collective has met consistently over the past fifteen years to develop as a working cohesive artist run centre. The Ullus Collective continues to indicate a strong interest in advance-level training and networking opportunities to assist further media arts development. Additional infrastructure and development will lend to a cohesive entity and provide the artists with ongoing programs towards the advancement of Aboriginal works specifically in assiting with the identification and dissemination of the BC Interior Indigneous Art Form to the general public and main stream audiences.

La Griffe - Valérie LB
50
Fatima, G4T 2A1
Bienvenue à la page Facebook de ma galerie d’art La Griffe. Welcome to the my art gallery “La Griffe“. Bio and Description (English version): I was born on the breathtaking Magdelen Islands. At the age of two, my mother and I moved to Montreal where I spent most of my life. Having spent all my summers with my father on the islands, in 2011 I decided to get back to this little paradise to reconnect with my roots and make it my new home. I find these small and unique islands soothing for the soul and a great source of inspiration. As long as I can remember, I have always been creating art. I completed my Bachelors’ of Art Education at Concordia University in 2011. As much as I love teaching, when I am creating is when I feel the most fulfilled which is why I have decided to go after my dream by opening my art gallery “la Griffe”. Being a very expressive and intense individual, art has always been my best outlet. I struggled for a long time to find my place or genre. The dichotomy of my personality leads me to transform my emotions into something abstract, expressive, textured and uncalculated, almost like a dance. The other feeds my perfectionist and meticulous side, pushing me to create more realistic works. This resulted in an incoherence when going from one piece to another during my first few years of dedicated creation. In 2010, I finally began to feel whole as an artist, mixing all of these attributes into my pieces. I have since been experimenting with the blending of two very different styles, trying to find the right balance and pushing my own limits to see what else I can draw from within.

Splendour Works

Splendour Works

London, N5V 0A2
Elegant fine arts on canvas; cent percent original. A chaos in the mind puts a ’Mona Lisa’ on canvas. Some see just a pretty face, some others, a subtle smile. Some notice the confined posture while some others feel the agony in her eyes. Art is something that cannot be described in words. It is a creative display of the artist’s thoughts and feelings. Every artist strives to attain ’perfection’ from his viewpoint; not others’.

Hermann ﹠ Audrey

Toronto, M3C 0C1
A creative house that attracts ﹠ fosters the passionate, good-hearted, exceptional talents of today to work for commercial, artistic ﹠ philanthropic goals. Hermann ﹠ Audrey, established in 2008 was formed as the evolution of the collective, we saw ourselves as a family. Started by a group of curious creatives in Toronto, we pushed boundaries, formed community and found new ways to communicate and interact with the global marketplace. Our projects were visual, a mirror to the world it saw evolving around it. We captured the soul, images and stories that inspired us. Together. We sought to provoke ideas by accessible encounters with art and create intersections where new communities shared positive experience. We wanted to extend past one-way brand advertising toward new platforms where brands sought to enrich the lives of consumers. We saw a mutually benefit and positive connection available between brand and consumers through art, engagement and philanthropy. We have grown into new iterations. At the end of 2016, our Hermann ﹠ Audrey 6.0 drew to a close. We’ve worked with over 500 artists, 142 prominent and local brands, and built festivals and cultural hubs. We thank our past staff, friends and creative family for coming along for the ride. For photo work, our expert producers can be found at photomotion.hermannaudrey.com For placemaking and commercial art production contact. [email protected]
