“BIG Notes 4 Little Folks Studio“ wee B jammin little time
15
Niagara Falls, L2E 0A1
BIG Notes 4 Little Folks is a children’s music studio that focuses on children ages 4 months - 7 years. We are also licensed in Kindermusik. At the age of 10 my parents enrolled me in classical piano lessons to keep me busy while my mom (who was a kindergarten teacher) finished up at school each day. Little did they realize at that time, that they had given their daughter the greatest gift they could have given her, the gift of music. This gift has lasted a lifetime for me and has given me so much joy and contentment. It led me to perform and compete in classical piano competitions, to be able to teach myself the guitar, and to still all these years later, be playing in a progressive rock band, and composing and recording my own original music, some of which have been released through Musea Records in France.

Research on Secularism and Education
51
Sherbrooke, B0J 0B3
The purpose of this SSHRC funded study is to explore the perceptions of teachers in Canadian public schools who professionally identify as secular. Since 1982, provinces and territories across Canada have made changes from heavily religious entrenched school systems to those that are now touted as being entirely non-religious structures. This pedagogical transformation, required schools to adopt and advance a curriculum wide view and study of religion that, using Quebec as an example, is not based on proselytizing or promoting a single perspective, but rather on students’ and teachers’ ability to use their analytical skills to critically and respectfully examine both religious and secular viewpoints. The purpose of the SSHRC funded study is to examine the perceptions of teachers within Canadian public schools who define themselves as “secularist“ (atheist, agnostic, spiritual, religious, or otherwise) concerning the mandated secular nature of their province’s education system. We would like to develop a “picture” of public schools across Canada as relates to secular mandates through the daily experiences of teachers who have adopted this professional stance. By recruiting teachers from each province and territory, we expect to better understand how our schools function in relation to secularism.

Built upon the Dalhousie Business Ethics Case Competition (DBECC) founded in 2003, Ethics In Action is made possible through the generous support of Scotiabank. The Canadian MPN Group is a collaborative effort to improve the care and research in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms. Our Story The Canadian MPN Group was founded by hematologists working in the field of MPNs as the first national collaborative effort between health professionals in Canada to improve MPN patient care and research. The beginnings of the Canadian MPN Group lie in a discussion at a hematology meeting between several of our now National Executives on MPN patient care and research in Canada. Their discussion led them to the topic of the then current lack of a collaborative physician-driven MPN organization in Canada and the benefits it would bring to improve the care of MPN patients. Since this meeting in 2011 the generous support of Mr Ed Pascal has enabled us to establish the Canadian MPN Group as a national charitable organization in 2013 and we have, with support from our donors, pursued our mission of improving MPN research and care of patients with MPNs. In the few short years since our establishment, the Canadian MPN Group has contributed to physician education with our publications on MPN treatment guidelines and our network of MPN physicians is continuing to expand, benefiting both patient care and research collaboration. With these and our ongoing efforts in MPN care, research and professional collaboration, we continue to work towards our ultimate goal of comprehensive access to good quality care for Canadians with MPNs. We thank all of supporters. We are deeply grateful for all of our many funders, without whom the Canadian MPN Group would not be possible. Our thanks in particular go to Mr. Ed Pascal for his support in establishing the Canadian MPN Group and to Mr. Tony Comper for funding the current version of this website. We also thank Novartis for their support, including for the development of the MPN eSIMPLE app.

He believed that anyone with the desire could learn the basic principles of Gestalt – mainly self awareness, willingness to commit to the here and now, and an underlying faith in the human capacity to know truth from falsehood.

APPLE Program

APPLE Program

London, N5V 0A2
APPLE (Alternative Parent Participating Learning Experience) is an alternative school program operated within TVDSB at Arthur Ford Public School. APPLE, an acronym for Alternative Parent Participating Learning Experience, is a program in which teachers, parents and children collaborate together for one sole purpose – enhancing the children’s educational experience. APPLE students are part of the Thames Valley District School Board family at Arthur Ford Public School and follow the curriculum as mandated by the Ministry of Education of Ontario. The difference is that the families of the students in our program commit to spend a minimum of 10 hours a month volunteering in a variety of ways which serve to enhance their children’s education. There is no extra cost but the rewards are great. Benefits of the APPLE Program include a supportive community, social events with other APPLE families, additional funding for enhanced classroom activities and field trips. Parent participation in the classroom has always been the backbone of our program, it provides a substantial enrichment of the APPLE classroom environment, and significant opportunities for close interactions between APPLE parents and students. It is the intensity of this involvement, the proximity which APPLE parents have to the daily life of the classroom and the level of engagement that APPLE parents have with other members of this community that sets APPLE apart from other alternative schools When parents are involved in the education of their child(ren), the academic performance of their child(ren) typically improves. The APPLE Program is open to all school districts and spaces are available for select grades and on the wait list for all grades and future start years. For a more in depth understanding of the APPLE Program and the long term influences of parent participation on APPLE Program students, you can view the Interpretive Study here: http://appleprogram.ca/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/Thesis.pdf

HVAC Sales Secrets

HVAC Sales Secrets

Saskatoon, S7H 0A1
Grow your plumbing, HVAC, electrical or roofing business with proven process ﹠ systems that will maximize profits while creating a culture of success!. You didn’t start a business just to fight like crazy to meet payroll. How can anyone in the contracting world make money and grow their business if they’re constantly duking it out with lower priced competition? If you want to turn things around, you need continuous improvement in revenues, profits, and an increased market share. You need to identify problem areas in your company and you need honest, unbiased insight into what’s working and what isn’t. You’ve got options: you could join an exclusive contractor group and pay them thousands of dollars a month for access to the “secrets of contracting“. You might attend an event in a hotel where they’ll run you through a series of presentations about why you’re treading water. They will mail out books and binders full of systems and procedures (for a monthly fee in the thousands of dollars) but then what will do you? Home Service Profits is in the implementation business. Rather than pay $$$ to a contractor group that may not meet your specific business needs, our approach is one of coaching to success. We’ll help you identify the areas that need work and we’ll develop a process that provides measurable results. We’ll help you make changes that will have an immediate effect on your bottom line.

The Lyceum brings together writers, illustrators, educators and families to share diverse ways of making meaning, different schools of thought, and the richness of story in its many forms. Christianne’s Lyceum is a centre that celebrates literature and art and puts them where they should be - at the centre of family and community life. Through programs that emphasize making connections between literature and what’s going on in the outside world, the Lyceum encourages young people to see themselves as readers, writers and artists, as they engage with abstract ideas and reflect on their own place in society. Armed with these experiences, students begin to seek possibility and explore ways that they can use their voices and actions to participate in their communities.
Improve your relationships, teamwork, customer service skills and communications with this great workshop. Having a common language to identify behaviours and reactions that are personality based is the key to people working, living and relating more effectively together. We have all been around people who drive us absolutely mad, we ask ourselves- what’s so wrong with me or what’s wrong with you? In fact nothing is wrong, we are just different, we think differently, communicate differently and behave differently. Understanding and honouring others and their behaviours is not possible without first understanding yourself and what makes you do the things you do. At a Colours By Len seminar you will learn solid team building tools, effective conflict resolution methods, employee ﹠ customer growth and retention, expanded inter-personal and relationship skills and easily identify the strengths and stresses of ourselves and others.

Empowermil was created to inspire those I work with to Empower themselves and those in their lives. I have a passion to support my community ‹3. I created Empowermil in 2007 as a way to support children, adults and families. From a young age, I have had the passion to champion those who were faced with challenges. I had been bullied and tormented throughout my journey. I graduated from ECE in 1993 with honours and throughout my career I have worked with all ages. I was a foster parent for 4 boys and a director of 2 days. My passion is to enhance self- esteem and confidence in others. The outcome will result in acceptance and unconditional love. After I was a foster parent, I realized that children require so much more than play. They need security, love, attachments and consistency. Relationships are being challenged everyday by the lack of social emotional connections. May today be the day that you make change and take action. I look forward to supporting and working with you and yours...
